The First Breaking (2230s). A Mandate drone offensive pushes through the Ukrainian front as far as the Dnipro. Three years of war follow. During a winter of analysis, both blocs ask their Vaults to assess the alternatives. Both receive the same conclusion: accepting the conquest would cost everyone more than restoring the previous border. The forces withdraw, and the old line is restored.
